This county department provides assistance to corporations, cottage industry, small businesses and manufacturers.

  • The Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership (http://www.omep.org):  OMEP is an integral part of Oregon’s statewide manufacturing strategy and is a partner with Business Oregon, as well as other economic development organizations across the state. They are strategically affiliated with the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) and also work directly with the workforce development system to meet the needs of local manufacturers.

The district is a K-12 public school system with approximately 8,400 students that receives state funding through local income and property taxes.
