GOLD MEMBERS
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Know what is going to happen in the government before it happens. The chamber’s government affairs committee is designed to let business people know what is going on in the city, county, state and even federal government. In addition by attending three of these monthly meetings in a row, you will be able to vote on recommendations to the chamber’s board of directors on ballot initiatives, legislation, and candidates the chamber will endorse or support.
The city and county regularly brings issues to the GAC before taking them to a wider audience, giving chamber members an inside look into where local government is going. Every month at least one elected official, whether it is Wilsonville’s mayor, city councilors or state representatives or senators, are in attendance.
When: Noon - first Wednesday of each month.
Where: Visitor Center/Chamber Conference Room – 29600 SW Park Place, Wilsonville 97070
Chair: Ernie Platt, Portland Metropolitan Home Builders Association
Vice-Chair: David Stead, Langdon Farms Golf Club
Contact: Steve Gilmore, Chamber CEO, 503-682-0411 or steve@wilsonvillechamber.com

Martha Schrader, a candidate for Clackamas County Commission Position 3, is one of several candidates who have received the chamber’s endorsement. The Governmental Affairs Committee is the gatekeeper on candidates the chamber is interested in supporting.
